DR. OFFER MAURER, PhD Clinical psychologist, the founding director of The New Wave in Psychotherapy Program at the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Hertzeliya. He is the co-founder of the Israeli Institute for Schema Therapy and the previous Chairperson of the Israeli Association for Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy. Dr. Maurer is the founding director of the 'Gay-Friendly Therapists Team', the first gay-friendly psychotherapy institute in Israel (15 years ago).Dr. Maurer is a guest lecturer at various international programs on LGBT issues, Schema Therapy and psychotherapy integration. He contributed co-authored chapters to edited volumes on Working with Emotion in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (Guilford, 2014), on The Self in Understanding and Treating Psychological Disorders (Oxford Univ. Press, 2016) and on the soon to be published edited book: Creative Methods in Schema Therapy (Routledge, 2020) |
MICHAL SCHOENBERG TAZ, PhD Psychology and psychotherapy lecturer at 'The New Wave in Psychotherapy' Program at the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Hertzeliya, and at the MA in Art Therapies Program at Seminar-HaKibbutzim College (Tel Aviv). Her clinical practice could be described as an integration between constructivist-philosophical schools of thoughts with current evidence-based models such as AEDP, Schema Therapy (advanced certificate by ISST) and EFT. Her summa cum laude PhD thesis on the construction of masculine identity in short stature men is part of her ongoing scholarly endeavor at implementing critical, historical- genealogical and constructivist thought into clinical work, with special emphasis on the ways these pertain to issues of gender, sexuality and desire |
